The Daughertys: Dear Friends and Former Neighbors

When Gayla and Sean told me they were wanting some updated pictures, I was so excited for this shoot.  These pics are for an exceptionally special purpose.  They are for the adoption agency that will be finding them their first child.

The Daughertys have wished to expand their family for years, and have tried so hard to have a little one.  This is their final option, and they are very excited (and we are so excited for them)!!!  I have vowed to be there for that first moment they set their eyes upon the child, they have waited so long to welcome into their family.

I can't wait . . . and am tearing up just thinking about how amazing it will be . . .

Their current family members . . .

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!  YOU WILL BE INCREDIBLE PARENTS:):):)

P.S.  Blog Followers, I apologize for the annoying formatting issues.  Sometimes, I feel like beating my laptop into pieces because of all the problems on Blogger.  I attempt to correct them, but sometimes they won't let me.  Thanks for being your understanding and sweet selves.   XOXO, Kelly

Spring Break & Arch Madness

I must say I was dreading Spring Break this year, after all it's a bit of a challenge keeping 3 kiddos with the combined energy of a nuclear warhead, busy enough to avoid disrupting Chris' at home work environment.  It is a work environment that normally consists of about 75% conference calls.  Which translates into Kelly needing to keep the kids out of the house the majority of business hours.

Do you see where the challenge comes in?

Needless to say, being forced to be out and about for the entire week, was an absolute blast for us!!!!  We went everywhere and played till we dropped:)

Our last "official" day of Spring Break was Friday, which also would have been my Mom's 62nd Birthday.   In honor of the special date, we decided to have a day of fun and celebration down around the Arch and the Landing.

Here's a few of the shots I got from our week, and our day of play around the Arch . . .

Notice the writing next to her (Boo is her most used nickname)!!!

Do I detect more than a hint of pouting on the left?

I broke out my rarely used wide angle for these,
and loved the perspective it gave!

After the Arch mutiny, we headed to the Landing.

Silly Time!!!

Uh oh, is that a triple pout?

Hummmmm, where is number 3, perhaps pouting again? LOL

Oh wait, we get to act silly again . . . oh . . . see, I'm not pouting anymore!!!!

So sad that we lost that baby blue sky to a not very pretty grey haze,
but we still had a jolly good time doing silly jumps.

OK, only one more, I promise:)

Practice! Practice! Practice!

I couldn't resist creating a collage of the Bub Daddy while continuing to work on my Photoshop skills. Plus, I really love looking at pictures of him when he is his sweet and innocent self, versus being the holy terror his sisters would like to throttle.

Oh, one more thing, I promise I won't start endlessly gushing over his cuteness!  LOL

The Bub Daddy Photo Shoot

Yes . . . we are the sort of parents that have a minimum of 3 different nicknames for each of our kiddos. All of these nicknames have a story of how they came to be for that individual, and all of them continue to be used. The nickname selected for a given situation is entirely up to the individual trying to gain attention.

Anyhow, Chris decided one day that Owen needed a rapper name, and thus, The Bub Daddy was born. You must know that this was an evolution of a nickname that I had given him when he was little and I used to have to talk with him in my annoying baby voice. How do I know it was an annoying baby voice?  Because my girlie-girls made sure that I knew how annoying it was to them :) Nonetheless, "Bubbie" was and will always be my personal favorite!!!

Without further babbling (because it took me many moons to talk him into this)!!!!!!
